This project at Cathedral Court started in 2013. Tasks included full design of mechanical services which consisted of heat recovery AC, using ducted fan coil units. This introduced fresh temperate air being to the floors through the back of the fan coil units. We decommissioned the existing 4-pipe chilled and LPHW systems, and stripped the wet systems and ventilation ductwork out of the ceilings back to the risers. The existing systems were replaced by the latest technology heat recovery VRV systems.
At Cathedral Court we also designed and installed the new layout using variable refrigerant flow technology, swirl diffusers, and new ductwork to distribute the cooled or heated air into the space. Central controls were installed to control the systems on a floor-by-floor basis. This is so that individual tenants had control of their space.
We refurbished the core area toilet by installing new pipework and sanitary ware. So far this has been carried out over three floors, with more to follow!
