Mechanical and Electrical Design and Build Project for the Khalsa Academy. Three buildings, the main school building being four storeys.
Working closely with the Main Contractor Morgan Sindall, ACE carried out the Mechanical and Electrical design and installation of fit out works at The Khalsa Academy in Wolverhampton.
The new school development entailed three buildings. The Main Building and the two remaining buildings were a brand-new Sports Hall/Auditorium and also a Canteen.
Some big challenges faced ACE as the original building has listed grade 1 status, as well as special attention and care was needed for the approach to design, procurement and installation due an existing odour abatement planning condition. Despite these issues the buildings were delivered on time to the delight of the Head Teacher Anita Notta who quoted:
What we have in terms of a building has been well worth the wait. It houses 460 children but it lends itself to the school vision – it’s amazing, it’s a fabulous building. The best way I can describe it is through a parent’s eyes who have seen their child progress from the old building to new. It’s been absolutely well worth the wait – when you walk through and look around its breathtaking!
We have refurbished a range of different rooms with the required services, such as: Science Laboratories, Food Technology Classrooms, Resistant Materials, Server Rooms, ICT Classrooms, Canteens etc.
